Robbie Basho's 1981 release, "RAINBOW THUNDER / Songs of the American
West" depicts the early West and
its natural beauty, embracing American Indian textures and folklore in
10 vocal and instrumental songs. Recorded over a period of four years at four
West Cost locations, the guitarist's 11th album features Basho's
resonant vocals, enchanting lyrics, legendary guitar playing, and a
full-color surrealist painting by Frank Porpat on the cover.
This
original pressing is new old unopened stock from when we purchased a batch, from Robbie himself, at my record store, "Record Realm" in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa, after he performed here!
