Para celebrar el que habría sido el 74 cumpleaños de David Bowie el 8 de enero, se publican dos versiones inéditas: MOTHER de John Lennon y TRYIN 'TO GET TO HEAVEN de Bob Dylan en una edición limitada muy especial de vinilo 7'' (limitado a 8147 copias numeradas).

Originalmente grabada por Lennon para su álbum de 1970 John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band, la versión de Bowie de MOTHER fue producida por Tony Visconti en 1998 para un tributo a Lennon que nunca llegó a buen término. El tema original TRYIN TO GET TO HEAVEN de Bob Dylan fue lanzado en su álbum Time Out Of Mind publicado en 1997 con el que ganó un GRAMMY. La versión de David se grabó en febrero de 1998 durante las sesiones de mezcla del álbum en vivo 'LiveAndWell.com'.

To celebrate what would have been the 74th birthday of David Bowie on the 8th January, this very special limited edition 7” single features two previously unreleased cover versions John Lennon’s MOTHER and Bob Dylan’s TRYIN’ TO GET TO HEAVEN.
The 7” single is limited to 8147 numbered copies.
Originally recorded by Lennon for his 1970 album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, Bowie's version of MOTHER was produced by Tony Visconti in 1998 for a Lennon tribute that never came to fruition. Bob Dylan’s original TRYIN’ TO GET TO HEAVEN was released on his 1997 Album of the Year GRAMMY winning Time Out Of Mind. David’s version was recorded in February 1998 during the mixing sessions for the live album ‘LiveAndWell.com’.
