Early “RVG 9 M” (both sides) cut. “Deep-groove” present only on side 2 w/no “R” & no “Inc”, as pictured. Laminated (lighter shade) teal/turquoise sleeve in decent shape (VG-), w/large tape repair at the top. Rear slick shows some age, but still well preserved. The thick vinyl record is presentable w/handling showing—plays (VG) loudly & clearly w/some nostalgic crackle throughout—not bad (but not an “Audiophile’s dream”). Overall a solid example—visually & sonically! Replacement inner, plus bonus (later period) Blue Note advertising inner included for completion.
1958 (possibly)/1959 pressing:
Side 1: BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC • 47 WEST 63rd • NYC, BLUE NOTE® (no “deep-groove”)
Side 2: BLUE NOTE RECORDS • 47 WEST 63rd • NYC, BLUE NOTE (no Inc no ®)
Recorded on September 15, 1957.
The symbol of an ear is inscribed into the run out grooves of both sides.
The track duration does not appear on the release.
One (side) label has “Deep Groove”.
