Eat Your Paisley! is the second studio album by The Dead Milkmen, released on Restless Records in 1986. When this album was first released it got unnecessarily harsh reviews from self-important critics who complained about the lack of a "hit single" on the album. Any Milkmen fan knows that this is exactly why this is such a great record... the LACK OF a hit single and an entire album of great music the radio would not touch. Does anyone actually believe that the band were looking for heavy radio rotation with songs like "Air Crash Museum" and "Beach Party Vietnam?" Bollocks!
Fast forward a few decades and Eat Your Paisley has become one of The Dead Milkmen's most loved and sought after releases, and rightly so! The songs mix the Milkmen's unique satirical humor, political jabs, and fantastic musical hooks to create an album that plays like a comically twisted rock opera for the '80s.
