The Beatles’ 10th Parlophone EP contained four of their biggest hits to date.
It had been planned in 1964 as an EP titled Golden Discs, and initial pressings of this release actually carried that title on the label.
The Beatles’ Million Sellers was intended to capitalize on the Christmas market, although the group had also released , and just three days before. The four songs on the EP were , , and . Their other million seller, , was not included.
Just two weeks after the EP was released, We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper became their sixth million-seller in the UK. The Beatles’ Million Sellers was issued and was available in mono only. It was housed in a picture sleeve featuring a photograph of the group.
