This is a studio R&B group consisting of Frankie Ervin, Jesse Belvin and Johnny "Guitar" Watson singing "You Cheated" on Tender 513 from 1958. This is the rare original on the pink Tender label (which books for upwards of $100). This song was subsequently released on the Dot label and climbed to # 12 on the charts in 1958. This doo wop record looks to be a strong VG++ with very minor surface markings but plays in NM condition. You don't usually find copies on the Tender label this clean. The picture sleeve is a custom sleeve made in Canada or England and is in MINT condition. It is a one-off sleeve that was not mass produced. This item comes in a clear, resealable, poly-vinyl protective sleeve with a cardboard backer separating the record from the picture sleeve. Also included is a brief biography on The Shields. This copy is perfect for the serious collector!!!!
