David Bowie Hunk Dory LP UK 1st Press 3T/3T "Rasputin/Bobil" [Ex-/Ex-].

Rare copy of Hunky Dory, 1971 genuine first pressing with BOBIL on Side A on the runout and RASPUTIN on side B on the runout.

This copy also has a slightly rarer sleeve, on the front there is no writing below Victor on the front of the album..

These early pressings are the ones everyone wants, big heavy solid deep grooved vinyl which lasts the test of time and does sound totally amazing. I should know I've had countless copies of Hunky Dory down the years, it is my favourite album.

The cover of the album is in tremendous condition for a Hunky Dory cover, which are very often flat frayed and dirty..

This particular cover is still strong and sturdy to touch, with a very good spine, easily legible

Minimal ring wear

All seams are solid

And best of all it's super clean, especially the back which being white can get grubby.. This is one of the cleanest I've seen.

The Inner lyric insert is also in basically mint condition. No dirty marks and no writing etc..

For over 50 years old it really is in superb condition.

Onto the vinyl. Which I have fully test played as I do with any vinyl I sell...

It is lovely and clean with a great gloss!

The labels are mint condition..

It also plays with  little surface noise, has a cpl of clicks but on the whole its a tremendous listen..

However there are 2 issues.. A mark right at the end of Quicksand which affects the fade out of the song with a click... It does not jump..

Also on The Bewlay Brothers there is a mark which causes a click for maybe 30 seconds of the song. Again played on my Project Record deck there were no jumps or clicks...

So in conclusion I would be giving the vinyl a higher grading if it wasn't for the 2 issues described above... In my opinion it's still a fantastic copy of a pretty rare album, which regularly sells for over £100 and I doubt very much if they are much better than mine.

Sorry for the long description but I believe in giving as much detail as possible.. I wouldn't buy a record with a 3 line description! Seems to work for some folk.. But not me..
