The Beatles “White Album” LP Winchester 2nd Apple Pressing

Up for auction is an early 2nd pressing that was manufactured in the Winchester Virginia pressing plant. The front of the cover displays "The Beatles" in embossed letters.

The labels are identified in the Spizer Apple Records book as APP 101.SR2 . These labels feature the corrected song titles.

The matrix numbers on the discs are as follows:

SWBO -1-101-F77

SWBO -2-101-F*73#2

SWBO - 3- 101-F80

SWBO - 4- 101-F72#2

The Winchester pressing is indicated by the triangle with the line attached that appears in the dead wax (see photo).

The labels all have sticker “shadow” (from long adhered stickers that were at some point removed).

Records all play through. A few ticks on the opening of “Back In The USSR”. Other than this, there is some light noise on quiet parts mostly on side one. Sides 3 and 4 are definitely quieter. This is not to say that this isn’t still and enjoyable play, it is. This is a great entry level player at a low opening bid.

The jacket shows several inches of splits on top and at spine (see photos) and the jacket demonstrates some mild to moderate aging/wear/stains.

Unfortunately, there are no portrait pictures or poster included in this auction and auction is for records and jacket only.

Please note that Beatles T Shirt seen in background of photos is NOT included in this auction.
