From the greatest era of Mercury Living Presence Stereo recording, production, and pressing (1960), here on offer the masterly Marcel Dupre, Doyen of France's greatest twentieth-century organists, at play in Bach masterworks as transmitted via the awesome Gallery Organ of the Church of St. Sulpice in Paris. (Six Schubler Chorales and two, majestic Fantasias.)  Provided here via a rare first edition disk of exceptional quality. Original Mercury Living Presence Stereo Disk, U.S. Pressings, Serial No. Stereo SR90230. Deadwax mechanical stampers FR2 (Side 1) and FR1 (Side 2) indicating earliest edition. Disk is in remarkably fine condition. Close visual inspection shows no imperfections at all and retention of the highest gloss sheen on both sides. Appears very little played. (Play grading happily provided upon request.) Interior, plastic-lined sleeve not original but in Near-Mint condition. Jacket also Near-Mint presenting glossy front and fully intact rear and seams.
