STEELY DAN: "DALLAS" ORIGINAL 1972 MONO PROMO 45. THEIR DEBUT. EX+
For auction here the debut disc from one of the greatest bands ever known. A first press PROMO copy of Steely Dan's "Dallas" in both MONO & Stereo. 
"Dallas" wasn't included on the subsequent album "Can't Buy A Thrill" and even as a re-issue fetches good money from collectors these days. Here is an actual original first pressing. Indeed, as an ADVANCE PROMO COPY this must of been one of the first copies to ever see the light of day. And what a copy this is.
The vinyl shines bright and glossy, totally free from scratches, scuffs and warp. Wherever it has been for the last 50 Years it certainly hasn't seen many turntables. This is a real beauty. 
The labels are just as good. Bright white and deep black, they have no writing, stickers or any signs of age. Both sides are clearly marked "PROMO COPY. NOT FOR SALE". 
This disc even survives in its original thin paper ABC Records birth bag that comes complete with listings of other contemporary albums available from the label.
"Dallas" was not a success for Steely Dan, hence the absolute rarity of original copies. However their next release, "Do It Again" announced that here was a group that would never again be ignored.
