The Beatles – Introducing The Beatles
1964 MONO Vee Jay Records VJLP 1062
*There are several pressing variations of this album (genuine andcounterfeit), all with the same catalog number (VJLP 1062).
This particular edition has the same typesetting as second label variation[color band], having left justified song titles and credits, including the“Coffin-King” typo, with “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” and “LONGPLAYING” and SIDE I/ SIDE II above MICROGROOVE on the labels [see photos]. The record’s trail offareas include the following hand etched markings: “URJ”, “AL” the date 2-6-64and the matrix followed by “-1″. The machine stamped Audio Matrix logo alsoappears. This thick vinyl pressing was manufactured by Southern Plastics.
Earlier back covers have no comma in the title "Please Please Me." Thiscopy shows the title as "Please, Please Me".
The pressing date of this copy appears to be a few weeks afterwards, on 2-6-64.This would probably account for a new Audio Matrix lacquer being cut by 'URJ',as at this time the album was selling vast fast.
All tracks were recorded on February 11, 1963.
