This is the superb trio Bill led with the late Scott LaFaro on bass and the late Paul Motian on drums. It is a compilation done in 1973 using live material from 2 performances on the same day in 1961 at the Village Vanguard in NY and material previously released on Bill's "Waltz for Debby" recording.
This is a fairly rare album and should be of great interest to all who love Bill's playing.
The original recordings were produced by Orrin Keepnews and the remastering of this record was done by Mike Reese at Fantasy Studios in CA.
The condition of the vinyl is pretty much excellent (sometimes close to mint) with perhaps a few brief bits of noticeable crackle spread out in a few spots over the course of the 4 sides (usually only noticeable in very quiet passages)...
Any visible minor surface defects aren't reflected in the audio quality (except perhaps in 2 or 3 spots where there is the minor "crackle".
I also wrote a description of its condition under:
About this Item -->> Condition details from seller or seller notes
The cover is in decent shape for a 50 year old piece of cardboard and only has some minor defects as noted in the condition description above.
Will ship by USPS Media mail (insured) to valid US addresses within 3 business days of receipt of cleared payment. If shipping seems a tiny bit high it's only because it includes insurance.
As I'm just an individual seller, not a pro collector or dealer, I'm unable to accept returns but happy to provide addtl pics/info or even a very brief audio clip...
I offer multiple lp discounts -- so if you look over what I'm selling (I'm in the process of listing a large collection) and see more than one item you're interested in -- message me -- I can definitely give you a decent discount.
