LP- VV/AA - LE BEAT BESPOKÉ VOL.1.18 TAILOR MADE CUTS (2004).COMPILED BY ROB BAILEY
CONDITION: PICTURE SLEEVE: NEW // VINYL: NEW (UNPLAYED)
With insert.
This LP is a compilation of obscure European mod dancefloor faves dating from the late 1960s, compiled by Rob Bailey, one of the leading promoters on the contemporary modernist scene. The first few tracks are the weakest of the set but the pace then soon picks up with excellent Swinging London sounds that are mostly hard to find in their original 45rpm format. You will be familiar with the tunes if you've been to any of Bailey's club nights. Standout tracks for me are Steve Ellis' "Loot" and Phil Wainman's "Going Going Gone" both with great period lyrics and production.
Recommended LP, despite the cheesy cover.
