Anita Mui is an iconic figure in the Canto-Pop scene. Mui, often referred to as the 'Madonna of the East' and the 'Daughter of Hong Kong', released 'Bad Girl' in 1986 on Huaxing (Capital Artists) Records. It was the bestselling of Mui’s 50 albums.

According to the South China Morning Post: "[Bad Girl] has long been a favoured item among fans and collectors for its design. Using die cutting of paper and visual effects, Alan Chan, the veteran Hong Kong graphic designer, made the album a vivid representation of the age."
During her career, she won three Hong Kong Film Awards and an RTHK Golden Needle Award.
Unfortunately, the singer past away in 2003, leaving behind a long legacy of successful songs and hit films.
