2013 Skydog collection issued as limited 14LP vinyl box
The acclaimed Duane Allman Skydog retrospective was issued across 14LP limited Box Set chronicles the guitarist’s career from early garage bands and R&B sessions to The Allman Brothers Band and Derek & The Dominoes. This is a Lavish Vinyl Box Set.
The 14LP collection will include all of the music from the CD editions – 129 tracks in total – and has been produced by Duane’s daughter Galadrielle Allman and renowned reissue producer Bill Levenson and new to this edition are several previously unpublished photos of Duane, which will be featured on each LP sleeve.
As before the content ranges from his early recordings (with Gregg) in bands such as The Escorts, The Allman Joys, and Hour Glass; to his studio work with Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Boz Scaggs, Delaney & Bonnie, and many others; to a live jam session with the Grateful Dead.
Only 1,000 of these sets are being produced and they come with a 56-page booklet, with rare photos and essays by Scott Schinder and Galadrielle Allman.
