Details and pricing for this item are based on information in the reference book "Jerry Osborne's Rockin Records." If you have any questions, Please contact me. I go the extra mile to provide deadwax information because I want to make sure the item I'm selling is the Exact item you want. --------------------- The Dells early Northern Soul classic "Q-Bop She-Bop" b/w the Doo Wop/Soul ballad "A Distant Love" on Vee-Jay Records #251.
I'm surprised "Q-Bop She-Bop" is from 1957. It sounds years ahead of its time -- I think it might be the roots of the early Motown sound.
"Q-Bop" plays Excellent Plus despite how scuffed-up it looks -- with headphones on, you might detect a tiny amount of surface noise underneath the music Maybe . Deadwax (run-off groove) has 57-705-45 etched in it and a tiny number 10 as well.
"A Distant Love" plays VG+ -- it has no feel-able scratches on its surface but a manufacturing flaw in the vinyl creates noticeable surface noise throughout the first half of the song, which has a minor effect on the listening experience. 57-599-45 is etched in the deadwax, and it also has a tiny number 10.
Labels on both sides have moderate wear and a light black "Golden Falcon Records" stamp.
**Sound-clips of both songs in their entirety are available upon request.** Contact me through eBay's 'contact seller' link.
All vinyl records are play-graded on a professional model Technics SL1200-MK2 turntable.
