This is one of several record collections from my Dad, who died thirty-two years ago.  Most, from the postmarks on the boxes, were acquired in 1973-74, from “record clubs” of the era.  This one, from Readers Digest, is still wrapped in the original plastic and has the original mailing box.   I do not know how he came to have these; he did not even own a phonograph.

Other than the teaser listing on the front, which I have pictured, I do no know the contents of this collection.  The back side of the box, which I would expect to list the contents, is blank, solid purple.  Listed on the front, as you can see, are only are the artists:  “Pat Boone, The Four Aces, Billy Vaughn, Patti Page, Teresa Brewer, The McGuire Sisters, Henry Mancini, The Supremes, Bert Kaempfert, The Andrews Sisters, Sonny and Cher, Roger Williams, Louis Armstrong, Perry Como, Brenda Lee, The Platters, Bill Haley….and many more”  That is quite a broad spectrum.

I also do not know how many records are contained in the collection. The slip case is a little over 1 ¼ inches thick, so depending on the sleeves, it holds however many records will fit in that.  Another eBay listing for what appears to be the same set in used condition says there are nine records with a specific year noted on each side of each record.
