POINTER SISTERS - AUTOMATIC

1983 UK 12” SINGLE WITH NEAR-MINT VINYL

From my own personal collection, up for sale is this 12-inch single of 'Automatic' by The Pointer Sisters. It was released in 1983 on the Planet Records label with catalogue number RPST 105. This is one of my favourite Disco records from the 1980's, and Side A's excellent remix is by John "Jellybean" Benitez. Included on the flip side is the album version, as well as 'Nightline', both tracks being from their 'Break Out' LP.

The sleeve is the original RCA card one, inside of which the disc has been housed in its own soft polylined inner sleeve since purchase.

See below for higher resolution photos. Unless otherwise stated, all records I am currently selling are from my own personal collection. They have been looked after over the years, stored vertically and not tightly packed. My records have only been played on a good quality turntable & cartridge setup (currently Rega Planar 3 & Goldring G1020) which I believe will have helped to minimise play wear to the discs.

I will dispatch the record in professional, purpose-designed packaging with stiffener (and with the disc outside the outer cover). Please browse my shop for to see more well-cared-for singles, LP's and other interesting items, as wherever possible I do offer a combined postage discount. This is not applied automatically, so please contact me beforehand for more details.

All records are graded visually (under strong artificial lighting) and audibly (by listening in full unless otherwise stated). I try to be as accurate as possible here (please read below for meaning of grading terms) but if you are  not satisfied with your purchase I do offer a full refund so please contact me before leaving feedback in this instance.

GRADING INFORMATION:

Records are graded according to UK Record Collector Magazine - with the addition of how I grade surface noise:

Plus (+) or minus (-) afterwards indicates slightly above or below the following grades.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality, and surface noise is inaudible. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be graded as ‘Mint’.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. There may be occasional light surface noise, but it is infrequent, The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Surface noise may be audible on most tracks, and always during quiet passages, but is not too overbearing. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
