Original, black label with silver text, deep groove. Side 1: Charlie Smith, drums; Hank Jones, piano; Oscar Pettiford, bass on 4 tracks. Side 2: Aaron Sachs, clarinet, tenor sax; Dick Garcia, guitar; Aaron Bell, bass; Osie Johnson, drums; Jimmy Cleveland, trombone; Joe Roland, vibes on 5 tracks.
Cover: VG Top edge are completely repaired with scotch tape, though the top edge may not have completely split. Some aging appears on or under the tape on both sides of the jacket. The front and back covers have no marking except for the tape and have an overall good appearance.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are no markings on the vinyl surface. The record has an unplayed appearance. In spite of the near perfect appearance there are infrequent clicks and a few passages of very light groove noise. Basically the record has no serious surface noise and most of the noise described is light and most likely related to the pressing. Audibly checked.
