The Beatles "THE ORIGINAL 1960's SINGLES"

This is my entire collection of original Beatles UK singles from 1962 to 1970.

They are all first pressings (or in a few cases, second pressings from the same year). I used the excellent book "Beatles For Sale On Parlophone Records" by Bruce Spizer and Frank Daniels to double check which pressings I had and which vintage of sleeve. If you are a serious collector of Beatles music, then this book is a 'must have' but I'm not selling my copy - sorry. However, I have included a smashing little booklet called "The Beatles: Collecting The Original UK Pressings 1962 - 70" by a Mitch Scharoff - its a bit dated and there are a few mistakes, but I think you will find it interesting.

These singles have all been played but they are in amazing condition and all play perfectly. For singles this old you will expect to find some surface scratchings and marks. The sleeves are all original - if a sleeve has perished I have replaced it with exact period sleeve from a different single.

The Beatles only released 2 singles in picture sleeves - 'Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever' and 'Let it Be/You Know My Number'. The sleeves on these are in good condition.

All of the Apple singles are in their original black SHINY sleeves. Later releases used boring black matt sleeves.

I've also included a first pressing of "Love Me Do" RED LABEL. This is much sought after but oddly enough the black label is just as hard to find.

Everyone wants to have a copy of "My Bonnie" - this one is the second pressing on Polydor and credits Tony Sheridan & The Beatles. The flip side is 'The Saints'. This was given to me in the 60's by an uncle who bought it at a jumble sale and thought, as a Beatle fan, I would like. In fact I was going chuck it out as it is not in very good condition - whoever previously owned it, really liked and played it to death - so its here as a bit of bonus.

Finally, I have included a mint copy of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" / "With A Little Help From My Friends" b/w "A Day In The Life" released by Parlophone R 6022 in 1978. This single was released because of the release of the dreadful film "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". I was appalled that this should ever have been a single - but I bought it anyway.
Just to sum up, these singles are old, they have been played but I think you will be hard pressed to find copies of the original Beatles 1960s in such good condition. If you don't agree, I'll take them back!!
