Miichael Mann was the son of the great novelist, Thomas Mann. Michael Mann played in the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and was a professor of German Literature. This is one of what seems to be his two solo records.

Dika Newlin was a pupil of Arnold Schoenberg, subsequently assisted him in class, wrote an important book about it and his American years, became a composition professor and, eventually (in her 70s) a punk rocker.Amazing woman! She also made very few recordings.as a pianist, though quite a few as an interview subject.

The one 78 copy I could trace through Popsike sold in 2011 for 999.00.

Shipping: $ 4 to U.S.; Elsewhere, calculated. Cost varies by buyer location.
