2014 4 LP box set of the legendary 1971 Fillmore East Recordings from four shows on March 12th & 13th, 1971 produced by Tom Dowd. After years on the road the band reached their pinnacle here. Bill Graham's theatre with a state of the art PA & Joshua light show always brought out the best in artists that performed on the stage. Graham called the ABB his favorite band & chose them as the closing act at the Fillmore East when he shut it down on June 27th, 1971. That legendary performance is also included in this set. Contains 37 tracks including 15 that are previously unreleased. For years fans have clamored for the release of this material. The unique guitar interplay between the late Duane Allman & Dicky Betts is legendary & unique. Includes deluxe 34 page booklet with extensive liner notes by Hittin' the Note fan site editor John Lynskey.
