The Newport Folk Festival 1963. The Evening Concerts: Vol. 1.  1964 Vanguard Records VRS-9148.  Record is in EX+ condition.  There are impressions from the inner sleeve.  Cover is in EX condition.  There is a hole punched in the lower right corner, corner wear and some scratches on the upper right corner of the cover.

The festival is renowned for introducing to a national audience a number of performers who went on to become major stars, most notably by her appearance as an unannounced guest of in 1959, and , in turn a guest of Baez at the 1963 festival.  The festival also included many musicians from the pre- era who served to influence the of the 1950s and 1960s.
