COMMENT: Originally recorded by Decca (K.E.Wilkinson and Ray Minshull) way back in 1957, the RCA release as LSC-2255 is one of the most sought-after Shaded Dog classical titles. With vivid 3-dimensional dynamics and realistic instrumental timbres, plus insightful performances by maestro Alexander Gibson and his orchestra, it has been considered by many as the finest sounding RCA classical orchestral recording of all-time.
"Probably
one of the most famous RCA's from the early stereo era. Catalog #
LSC-2225. This is very rare since it was of limited supply in the USA
after being recorded in England by UK Decca. Recorded in Kingsway Hall
in London. Under the direction of Alexander Gibson conducting the New
Symphony Orchestra of London. This is my pick for the most dynamic
record RCA ever produced. Engineered by Kenneth Wilkinson and Ray
Minshull. This record, known for its 3-D imaging, was recorded Dec.
1957. The Decca team used there famous Decca three miking technique
which is a little different than US engineers. I personally feel that
this is one of the top 5 RCA recordings of all time." - Popsike.

INTERNATIONAL EBAYER BIDDERS interested in this item: Important Message
Since this item is of relatively high expense, it will REQUIRE insurance in the event of loss, theft, or damage during shipping. The LEAST COSTLY international delivery service that carries insurance is PRIORITY MAIL INTERNATIONAL, at $42 for the well-packed shipping weight of this album. I DOUBT THAT ANY OTHER SELLER WOULD OFFER THIS TO YOU! At that point, please leave me positive (+) feedback, and I will do the same for you!
