Artist:  CHESTER THOMPSON

Title:   “Powerhouse”

Label:   BLACK JAZZ ~ BJ-6.  Stereo pressing on light weight vinyl.  Labels are tan with black text.

Year:  1971.

Personnel:

Chester Thompson – organ

Raymond Pounds – drums

Rudolph Johnson – saxophone

Al Hall - trombone.

Condition:

DISC:  Vinyl is nice VG++ with full original gloss.  Has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  There are a couple slight hairline scuffs, but no audible marks or distractions.  Plays beautifully with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean.  This hard-to-find LP is one that you will never need to upgrade.

JACKET:   Jacket is nice VG to VG+ with obvious signs of wear and handling, but still quite serviceable.   There is ring wear and surface wear on both front and reverse from storage and handling.  Also, wear and rubbing along seams and spine, but no splits, stickers, or writing.  Bottom corner has been clipped to indicate this was originally sold as a cut-out.

PLANNING A VISIT TO THE BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON AREA?

If so, please consider a visit to my booth (Booth 002, down stairs) at the ANTIQUE DEPOT antique mall in historic ELLICOTT CITY, MARYLAND (3720 Maryland Avenue, just off Main Street at the north end of town – open every day of the year except Christmas and Thanksgiving) for some excellent bargain-priced LPs and 45’s.

Also, I regularly set up at the monthly ARBUTUS RECORD & TAPE EXPO at the Arbutus Fire Hall on Southwestern Boulevard, Baltimore ~ usually held on the 3rd Sunday – but it’s always good to check and confirm).  If you let me know ahead of time of your interests, I will do my best to bring a few extra goodies for your consideration.

Thank you for viewing my auction, and good luck with your bids!
