The Byrds - Younger Than Yesterday LP (BPG) 62988 (CBS, UK, 1967)
Original UK Mono LP with orange CBS labels. Semi Laminated Ernest J. Day Sleeve.
A1/B1 matrices.  CBS Inner.

Easy to forget exactly how great the Byrds were - and this album perhaps gets lost in the shuffle.  Expansive but effortlessly melodic, David Crosby and Chris Hillman really find their songwriting voices here.  Highly recommended.

Condition (I Grade NM / EX / VG+ / VG / VG- / G / F)

Sleeve - (CONDITION) VG Front has marks, fraying at the sleeve opening - though the laminate is still pretty strong (though creased).  Read has some discoloration and stains - though no writing,  No tears or splits.  Spine is worn, but just about legible
 
Record - (CONDITION) VG -  Has seen a lot of play, but not too many signs of mishandling.  Some of the lustre has gone. Moderate surface marks all over, most of which seem to be down to paper scuffing from the tight sleeve rather than wandering needles.  It plays well - at times fantastically (way above VG) - with crackle in the quieterplaces. The final songs on each side (particularly side 1) are quite noisy, possibly inner groove distortion/wear, though a better stylusmight be able to cope better than my budget Ortofon elliptical.  Nothing close to a skip or jump.  
 
Who wants this?  A presentable and very playable copy of the hard-to-find original UK Mono.  Well played, but would still serve a listener/fan on a budget well.
