From my own collection, here’s a handful of classic original First Gen Punk singles – in absolutely top condition (including the sleeves!).

THE DAMNED – Stretcher Case Baby / Sick Of Being Sick ORIG Stiff 45 // DAMMED 1 (UK, Stereo, 1977)

CALLING ALL TOP GRADE RARE UK PUNK COLLECTORS!

Happy to present this classic gig freebie from the Summer of ’77.  A different version of ‘SCB’ to the later album one and the classic ‘Sick Of Being Sick’.  THIS IS A TOP COPY which cannot have been played more than 2 or 3 times.

The sleeve is the ORIGINAL paper one, printed by DELGA press (credit to the rear bottom right corner).  Apart from light and soft wrinkling to the opening edges (not creased), there’s not much to report.  NO splits, writing or stickers.  Corners maintain near-perfect definition.  Both rear flipback seams are perfect, without damage.  Near to 40 years old now and well worthy of a TRUE EX (Excellent) grade.

The labels are fine – NO writing here, and no real spindle evidence either.  Fine pair with the text one side (see pics) and the ‘skull’ design on the other.

The vinyl is in EX+ (Excellent Plus) condition.  One light surface scuff visible to the B-side but NO scratches, embedded dirt, hairlines or scrapes.  Maintains near-to-new shine and should not disappoint.  Matrix inscriptions are the genuine ones with the stamped numbers of ‘DAMMED 1-1’ and ‘DAMMED 2-1’.

A fine, fine copy of this most sought after early Damned collectable.
