This auction is for The Beatles Rubber Soul - Vintage LP Record Actual 1st Press, 1965 Capitol Stereo ST 2442 First press with rainbow rim labels and a border around the cover. 
There are three different front cover variations of this: 
* The ''New Improved'' caption is in brown inside the picture and there is no ''File Under'' caption in the top border. (THIS ENTRY)  * The ''New Improved'' caption is in black and in the top border, as well as the ''File Under'' caption.  * There are two ''New Improved'' captions, one in the top border and one in the picture. The ''File Under'' caption is in the top border too. 
There are four label variations of this: 
* The artist's name above the spindle hole consist of the names of the Beatles, but does not mention the group's name. The ''Stereo'' caption reaches over the tracklisting.  * The artist's name above the spindle hole consist of the names of the Beatles, but does not mention the group's name. Cover is VG/VG+ with small 1/4" split at top by opening  LP is NM! Ships in a sturdy record mailer with a cardboard insert for protection
