For release dates, track names, and more information, visit -

- which is an amazing site for basic information about 78rpm shellac discs.

I am experienced at selling and shipping 78rpm shellac discs.  I have never had a 78 arrive broken.  Shellac 78s will be shipped between two pieces of cardboard, then bubble wrapped and set in a 12" x 4" x 12" over-sized box. Bid with confidence.  45s and 78s can ship together for savings on total shipping cost.  Buyers should presume that most records will need a light cleaning before playing.

SHIPPING (I do combine shipping.  Please read below and request payment total when you are finished bidding on my items):

US Buyers - $4 for the first 78.  $1 for each additional. Shipping via USPS media mail with delivery confirmation.  If ordering multiple lots, cost will be calculated by weight and buyer location.

International Buyers - $20 for the first 78.  $3 for each additional.  Orders over 4lbs will be calculated by weight and buyer location.

Canadian Buyers - $15 for the first LP.  $2 for each additional 78.  Orders over 4lbs will be calculated by weight and buyer location.

(PLEASE REQUEST PAYMENT TOTAL when you're finished bidding. Thanks!)

PACKAGING:  I ship all LPs in boxes designed specifically for the purpose.  When shipping a single LP, I also include a cardboard filler to thicken the package.  I always ship the LP outside of the sleeve, with vinyl and sleeve inside of an outer plastic sleeve.  When shipping more than one LP, additional cardboard may not be used if the package is thick enough.  This is pretty well the best that anyone can do in packing an LP record for shipping.  That said, buyers should realize that how the package is handled by the USPS or other postal services around the world is out of the seller's control and very occasionally, records can be damaged in shipping, no matter how well a record is packaged.

78 SHELLAC DISC GRADING (visual):

N (78) NM (LP). As new and unplayed (there are virtually no 78s that can categorically be claimed to be unplayed).
N- (78) NM- (LP). Nearly Mint, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage.
E+ (78) VG++ (LP). Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets.
E (78) VG+ (LP). Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.
E- (78) VG (LP). Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record, few light scratches.  LP: Some wear, scratches and scuffs, but no skipped or repeat grooves.
V+ (78) VG- LP. V+ is an average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced. LP: Below average with scuffs and scratches on fewer than half the tracks. No skips or repeat grooves.
V (78) G+ (LP). Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.
V- (78) G (LP). Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level. LP: Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable.
G+ (78). Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.
G (78). Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise.
G- (78). Music still prominent, but wear and scratch damage extensive.
F (78). Most of music remains audible over surface noise, but listening now uncomfortable.
P (78). Unplayable.
