MEET THE BEATLES~ RARE FACTORY SEALED ORIGINAL 64` MONO LP
MEET THE
BEATLES

HERE IT IS! "MEET THE BEATLES",  THAT ICONIC FIRST CAPITOL RELEASE FROM 1964, THAT ESSENTIALLY SIGNIFIED THE BEGINNING OF THE 60`S BRITISH INVASION HERE IN THE USA!
MEET THE BEATLES SAW PHOENOMINAL RECORD SALES, AND WAS SWEPT OFF THE SHELVES SO FAST, WITH A BRAND NEW SOUND AND HUGE POP HITS, SUCH AS "I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND", "I SAW HER STANDING THERE", "ALL MY LOVING", AND "I WANT TO BE YOUR MAN". I REMEMBER THESE TUNES WERE PLAYED ON A VIRTUAL CONTINUOUS LOOP ON ALL AM RADIO STATIONS, AS I LISTENED IN ON MY PANASONIC TRANSISTOR RADIO.
CAPITOL RECORDS FOUND THEMSELVES WITH A DEMAND EXPLOSION, AND  JUST COULDNT PUMP THEM OUT FAST ENOUGH TO KEEP THEM STOCK.
FAST FORWARD 50 YEARS, AND IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT THERE WERE SO MANY PRESSED AND SOLD, PRECIOUS FEW STILL EXIST TODAY IN WHAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED MINT CONDITION.

THIS COPY IS VERY NEAR IMMACULATE, AND LOOKS TO BE IN SIMILAR CONDITION AS IT WAS FOUND ORIGINALLY IN THE RECORD STORE RACK! THE SHRINKWRAP IS FULL AND COVERS THE RECORD WITH NO RIPS, TEAR OUTS, AND 2 FRONTSIDE  BREATHE HOLES (one can be seen in the 3rd photo, the top one is about in the center of John's forehead)  THE REAR COVER AND BORDERS REMAIN BRIGHT WHITE WITHOUT ANY OF THE EDGE YELLOWING NEARLY  ALWAYS SEEN ON THESE OLDER LP'S FROM YEARS OF IMPROPER STORAGE. I DONT SEE ANY RING IMPRESSION CAUSED FROM SITTING IN A TIGHT RECORD RACK FOR DECADES.
THIS IS A GOOD PRINT, AND I'LL EXPLAIN WHAT I MEAN. ITS KIND OF LIKE A RARE BASEBALL CARD DOWNGRADED, AND HENCE DEVALUED BECAUSE OF AN IMPERFECT CUT, OR COLOR VARIATION OR OFF REGISTER (A BIT BLURRY)
STARTING WITH THE FRONT PASTE DOWN SLICK, THE MOST NOTICABLE ASPECT, IS  SQUARED WITH COVER (MANY WERE A BIT CROOKED, OR A BIT HIGH/LOW.) THE BLACK DOT ALONG TOP EDGE IS DIVIDED IN HALF, AS IT SHOULD BE AND "FILE UNDER BEATLES" TEXT AND CATALOG NUMBER IS SET JUST ABOVE THE PASTE DOWN SLICK. MANY SHOW TOO MUCH OF THE DOT IN FRONT OR  THE REAR OF THE COVER, AND THE UPPER TEXT WRAPS TO THE BACKSIDE, OR CAN'T BE READ, BECAUSE ITS RIGHT ALONG EDGE. SPINE DESCRIPTION IS ALMOST PERFECTLY CENTERED, AND EASILY READABLE, IF IT WERE IN A RACK. MYSELF, I  DONT THINK THIS COPY HAS EVER BEEN PLACED OR RACKED WITHIN THE GENERAL POPULATION OF THE COMMONS.  THE 4 CORNERS ARE VERY SQUARED OFF .
VISUAL DISTRACTIONS OR FLAWS?
A FEW SMALL FRONT BUBBLES UNDER THE PASTE DOWN SLICK ARE THE ONLY ACTUAL FLAWS NOTED ON THE COVER. I WOULD SAY INSIGNIFICANT, BUT SHOULD BE MENTIONED RIGHT ALONG WITH THE POSITIVE. THEY ARE PRETTY SMALL YOU CANT SEE THEM IN THE PICTURES. I TOOK ALOT OF PICTURES IN ORDER TO GET A CLEAR, ACCURATE REPRSENTATION OF THE CONDITION, AND OTHER THAN THE FINGERPRINTS SEEN IN THE FRONT COVER PICS, THE PICTURES CAME OUT PRETTY FAIR. STILL, PICTURES CANT COMPARE TO ACTUALLY HAVING THIS COPY IN HAND. THE  LUCKY WINNER WILL BE PLEASED ...
FINALLY...INNERSLEEVE IS THE EARLY CAPITOL DARK BLUE SEEN AT CENTER OF THE OPENING, RIAA#3 SCRANTON, ILL. PRESSING
