Arguably "virgin vinyl" initial U.S. pressing/mastering of Kate Bush's 1986 career retrospective compilation (to that point) "The Whole Story" album. Released on EMI America Records #PWAS-17242. Not the Columbia House (CRC) record club version. This was bought in a retail store shortly after its Christmastime 1986 release.
Machine-stamped "Mastered by EMI" in 'deadwax' or "inner groove" at the end of the vinyl on Side Two, indicating a superior-quality 1st pressing. Vinyl disc came in a static-free clear plastic inner sleeve....
The gatefold album cover has been rarely opened/handled and the record has been stored away un-played save for the one previously unreleased track "Experiment IV", which I've played twice. Thats why I'm classifying the vinyl LP as Mint condition, which I very rarely do. Disc was taken out of shrink wrap and immediately stored in a protective outer poly-sleeve since the day it was bought. It will ship in the poly-sleeve. ...has always been stored in a smoke-free, pet-free home. Probably a clean enough LP record to be 'gift-worthy' for most.
No detectable color fading or aging of the cover art except for that 1-inch square of off-white color loss at bottom right of front cover, which I shined a light on in the main photo - it was left behind by an ownership sticker I removed, and is hard to see except under bright light.
Note: All the sales chart information about the songs and albums listed on the inside of the gatefold cover refers to Kate's sales success in the U.K. only. Her success in the U.S. was much more modest.
Ships via USPS Media Mail encased in stiff cardboard inside a thick, cushioned USPS envelope for $4.00....
Up to 2 additional vinyl record albums bought within 48 hours of each other can be included in the same shipment for just $1 additional charge each.
