Annie Nightingale used to say on her Sunday Radio 1 show that the years 1978 - 1982 were a standout time for music( mind you, she was speaking in the awful pop times of the mid '80s), and this lot fall right into that magic time when anything could get in the charts if it was done well, no matter what genre. The first 3 Rose Tattoo LPs released in the UK: "Rock & Roll Outlaws" (recorded in 1978)/ "Assault & Battery"(1981)/ "Scarred for Life"(1982). Sounding like a good-natured punch-up between Nazareth and AC/DC around 1975, there is absolutely no "filler" on these vinyl LPs; sadly the band were marginalised in the UK due to many viewing them as a "skinhead" band out to cause offence, without bothering to listen to the great music!! Legendary performances are still recalled, e.g. The Reading Festival, and the support slot to Rainbow in 1981. The fans at Leeds Queen's Hall still remember the "Jumbo Sausage Incident"( you had to be there)! Tracks by the band have appeared on various movie soundtracks, and of course Angry Anderson did a memorable turn in "Mad Max 3". Shame about the "Scott & Charlene" Neighbours wedding theme; I hope he was kidding! I have included an extremely battered copy of Sounds from Dec '82, which contains, among many interesting time-capsule items, a Gar(r)y? Bushell interview with Angry Anderson, which comes across as informal, honest and entertaining compared to the bland twitter posts of todays artists. There is also an interview with the late great Rik Mayall, who had first appeared in BBC's "The Young Ones" that year. The paper has been rained on and dried out; still readable. FREE POSTAGE to the UK. I can post to the EU  for £12.50.
