First edition triple disk, wide band recording of Aida, purchased in 1959, with booklet and original dust covers, in thick red protective case.
I'm unsure of grading but would describe both the disks and covers as in excellent condition. There are no visible scratches apparent which might affect play, although not being in possession of a record player I cannot guarantee this. But bear with me..
From a large collection of operatic and orchestral vinyl which belonged to my late father in law who kept his record collection in pristine condition, and was fastidious in keeping tally of how many times each side was played on his Garrard 301 transcription deck (usually on "music nights", Friday and Sunday evenings). His purchase log is detailed in the photographs; please contact me if you are interested in making a bulk purchase as I would like all of these hard to find items to go to a good home.
Each original cover slip has, on the top left corner, a tally of number of plays per year, and on top right corner, optimum settings for each particular disk as played on his Quad 33/303 amp which he listened to through a pair of Quad electrostatic speakers (see separate listing).
All albums will be well packed and sent with insurance and recorded delivery, or will be available to view at LL65, or by prior arrangement from LL11 near Chester.
Please email for more details or pictures, and check my other items.
Bid with confidence and good luck!
