Millie Small - Readin', writin', arithmetic/I want you never to stop             Decca F 12948, 1969                           NM

Who can resist the infectious singing of little Millie "My Boy Lollipop" Small, here with a late season rarity, which all today's teenagers could take a hint from before they leave school with nothing.

The disc, her last release on Decca, is in near Mint condition, and I have not seen this record for quite a number of years.

This is part of a very large collection of female singers that is still being slowly checked over by me. Many (but not all!) will appear in these listings at some stage, and the number is so great that it may well run well into 2017 or 2018 so keep my lists in your favourites.

Supplied in an original Decca company sleeve.

Booked at £12.00, I'll discount it to £10.00 but it's well worth that.

Most discs are checked against Record Collector’s written or on-line Price Guide, and I use only the categories (Excellent or Very Good). For Soul, Northern Soul or UK/US Motown, a more accurate price is usually given by John Manship (raresoulman.co.uk).

American discs are checked against John Manship (Soul etc.) or Goldmine price guides (all other categories).

Detail information can be obtained from the following highly recommended websites: 45cat.com, Discogs.com and Popsike.com.

If you should find any of my records are not as described, then I apologise in advance. Sometimes the odd one slips through and it is possible the defect could have been with the disc since it was pressed. CONTACT ME IMMEDIATELY.

Ebay and all buyers please note: the item(s) for sale below is/are 50 - 55 years old and thus all are “USED”, but are most definitely in the best possible condition for their age. I play all “A” and many “B” sides on a 1960’s Monarch deck to make sure they sound OK, so I know before they leave here that there is little, if any, problem with the disc. Most records will be fitted with the original centres, but a few may have replacements and others no centre at all – see individual photographs.

There may be writing on the labels but this will be minimal and fully explained in the listing. Most records will be supplied in a replica Company sleeve but some may have originals. If an original Company Sleeve is supplied, please note that this too is 50 - 55 years old, and must be expected to have general wear and tear, and may have small amounts of writing, paper loss due to removed stickers or other signs of old age such as small tears. If the sleeve is described as a Replica, it will be in as new condition and bought specially for that disc.

Please don’t ask for your sales item in a hurry or complain about the slow postage service – being disabled, with an inoperable slipped disc on my spinal cord, I do the best I can.

My post is done by a health visitor as a favour, once a weekusually on a Friday.

Contact me first if there is any problem – they can be resolved. Despite what Ebay thinks, leaving a negative mark or a low detailed seller rating does NOT help anyone – it just causes much bad feeling.

Honest Dave offers a 100% money back guarantee of purchase price and ALL postage, but only AFTER feedback has been left. Too many buyers have been receiving a full refund and then leaving negative or neutral feedback and these selfish individuals have spoilt it for the remainder.

DO NOT send the item back unless requested to do so. If it isn't any good to you, then it certainly isn't for me, so you should dispose of it responsibly at your end.

U.K. POSTAGE - please read carefully before bidding!

I offer discounted First Class postage for multiple buys – it pays to buy more!

1 – 5 singles (7”, 45rpm records) are charged at the Large Letter rate according to the Post Office website, (£1.68, First Class), provided that the packet does not exceed 20 cm x 20 cm x 1 cm and the weight up is under half a kilo. A small packaging price of 22p is added to this making the total postage cost a bargain £1.90. Remember this price is valid for one, two, three, four or five 45rpm single records. Larger parcels will be sent by the courier firm Hermes: ask for price.

For LP’s (12”, 33 rpm records, 34 cm x 34 cm x 2 cm, and of reasonable weight, the courier firm Hermes will be used. The price is £3.98. A small packaging price of 32p, is added to this, making the total postage cost a bargain £4.30. I will add as many LP’s as possible for this price until the postal weight limit is reached.

EUROPEAN POSTAGE and PACKAGING

Postage and packaging rates for most of Europe start at £5.50, but please note that because of continued lost mail to Poland, the rest of Eastern Europe, Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal, I will only use the Royal Mail’s International “Tracked and Signed” service, (rates starting from £10.05). Please enquire for actual cost BEFORE bidding and wait for an invoice at the end.

OVERSEAS POSTAGE and PACKAGING:

“Tracked and Signed” rates apply to all countries and vary wildly by weight and carrier. Please ask for a rate BEFORE bidding and wait for an invoice at the end of the sale.
