Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part One, commonly abbreviated to Lola Versus Powerman, or just Lola, is the eighth studio album by British rock band the Kinks, recorded and released in 1970. A concept album, it is a satirical appraisal of the music industry, including song publishers, unions, the press, accountants, business managers, and life on the road. Musically Lola Versus Powerman is varied, described by Stephen Thomas Erlewine as "a wildly unfocused but nonetheless dazzling tour de force", containing some of Ray Davies' strongest songs. It contained two hit singles: "Lola", which reached the top 10 in the US, and "Apeman", which peaked at number five in the UK.

A note on condition...

I’m not a pro or a record store owner, but I have been collecting for a long time and have done my best to describe the condition.

Condition: 

Record: This album was not play-tested, only visually graded as I am listing over 10,000 albums and cannot do every one. 

I would say EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT as there are no noticeable surface scratches, marks or defects. I do not believe I played this album very much as I listened to alot of cassettes back then.

Jacket: EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT. Extremely Light surface scratching from storage. Minimal ring wear on back and/or front. No splits of any kind - extremely minor edgewear.

Sleeve: Generic Clear Plastic Type

All in all, this is a great LP -- described and graded visually -- at a remarkable starting price.

Again, please remember that I am not an expert but I try to grade very fairly.  I visually grade all records. Please keep in mind that some of these records/vinyl are pre-owned and over 30 or 40 years old.  Some may have some slight surface noise and/or a crackle and/or other imperfections and will NOT sound like a “new” record, unless listed as mint/unopened.
