Another legend gone but will live on forever, Leonard Cohen, legendary poet, musician, ladies man, conversationalist. What an artist. Here's where it all began. Having left poetry for poetic lyrics, and adding his distinct guitar and voice. Leonard Cohen created a mood in story in every song he wrote. On this LP, "Sisters Of Mercy", "Suzanne", "So Long Marianne", "Master Song", this LP, "Songs Of Leonard Cohen" is the blueprint for an incredible career, just now having released a new album as well "You Wanted It Dark", considered by many to be among, if not his best work. Another loss with an amazing catalogue. Thank you Leonard. This is the original 2 Eye Columbia Records label. The cover of this has a corner chewed (?), shelf wear, ring wear, mid-edge splitting (including the spine), but no splitting at the opening. This is, with its faults, still a super solid cover. The vinyl has several light hairline marks that do not cause skipping or terrible popping throughout. It is used vinyl, but well love, and still alive. This also includes the lyrics insert, though it shows part was torn away (a photo? I'm unsure), and it also has the original Columbia record sleeve with splits.
