Grading Scale
Still sealed: Only what I would consider mint, provided cover does not have any flaws, which will be noted with any listing
Near Mint : Cover has to be pretty flawless or basically new in appearance. Vinyl has to be either unplayed or played so
minimally and well cared for that it looks pretty close to new.
Exc+: Just a step down from near mint, a tiny amount of wear that does not detract at all from the overall appearance of the cover.
Basically small things such as corner bump. The Vinyl can have a just the faintest of superficial marks that do not affect play.
Exc:Wear on cover may be a tad more pronounced but still in fine condition and nothing that is highly noticeable,no splits but
maybe a little edge wear,or just the begining of some ring or rub wear in only a couple small areas or corner wear(which seams to be
the most common form of wear) tends to be a little more visible. The vinyl can have a few more hairlines but still will play nicely
with minimal surface noise.
VG++: More visible ring wear, more visible edge and corner wear but not totally obvious and certainly not unappealing and no splitting
of any kind. The vinyl still looks nice but the hairlines may be a little more frequent but will still play nicely.
VG+: Definite noticeable wear but not at all significant and still no splitting. Vinyl will still play very well but not perfectly,no
skipping but maybe a tick here or there and some mild surface noise in between tracks.
VG: Obvious signs that the cover been around the block a little, but still doing its job of holding together and protecting the record and
everything is still legible, no major splitting and not trashed by ant means. The vinyl is still playable but will make some noise.
Good: Not that good, at least not to a collector. It might look alright to a non collector. Only worth it if its something very rare.
