Yellow label, deep groove on both sides. The address on the label is 203 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, N.J. The same address is at the bottom of the back cover. The initials, "RVG" are inscribed in the dead wax. Thelonious Monk, piano, on all 5 tracks. From 1953, the group also includes Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Julius Watkins, French horn; Percy Heath, bass; Willie Jones, drums on 1 track. From 1954, the group also includes Percy Heath, bass; Art Blakey, drums on 2 tracks. Also, from 1954 the group includes Sonny Rollins, tenor sax; Tommy Potter, bass; Art Taylor, drums.
Cover: Mint(-) Intact and clean. Stamped "Not For Sale" on the top margin of the back cover. Very small crease at the bottom of the insert edge corner. Light aging on the back cover.
