Maria McKee & Lone Justice: "Lone Justice" (Geffen 24060, 1985). Rock Promo Stereo vinyl record album LP. Rosanne Cash: self-titled debut LP (German Ariola 26.096 stereo). This is IT! The Holy grail for the Rosanne collector: her FIRST LP! Original issue gatefold cover (with song lyrics inside as well as 2 photos, later record-club re-issues did NOT have gatefold cover as I used to have one of those too but sold it). Rodney Crowell had to help out (on 3 tracks & Carlene sings back-up on one). AUTOGRAPHED (I went down to Ms. Nt's club at 4:30 p.m. that day to try to meet Rosanne: little did I know that she was pregnant with her final child with then-husband Rodney Crowell & had morning-sickness, so wasn't doing any meet-&-greets). This candid info came courtesy of drummer Vince Santoro (easy to spot as he's bald), who was playing the pin-ball machine when I walked into the club (I sort-of knew the club booker at-the-time, Pat Hagan, so he allowed me to come into the club early). I recognized Vince from having seen him back Rodney (& he also appeared in some of their videos). Fortunately, Rosanne did a great show & was so pleased with the packed-house reaction that she stayed on-stage to sign autographs so I edged on up (didn't have "very far to go", as I was in front row, courtesy of Mr. Hagan & the "stage" was only about a foot off the floor) & handed her the empty jacket, which she graciously signed. She hung around, so I decided to press my luck & get a Columbia promo 8x10" photo also autographed (see scan #6 & also now up for bid on my Store site). 8x10" color photo shot from front row & ticket-stub are included (see scan #1 & #3). Article in NYC Village Voice (7/5/88, also on my site) claims this was never released: OBVIOUSLY, I beg to DIFFER!! Condition: VG++ (vinyl still shiny & appears unplayed), cover has a few slight frays on spine & minor corner dings, otherwise exceptionally clean). Postage: add $4 within USA or $35 overseas (sent registered unless you want to assume the responsibility). Scans: #1-2: Covers (#1: note autograph in bottom right corner, ticket-stub at left & #2: enlarge for songs), #3: front row shot, #4: inside gatefold cover (right side, the other side also has the rest of the lyrics & another Rosanne photo), #5: Label (sent inside poly-lined "Angel" custom LP inner-sleeve, unless you request a paper one), #6-7: BONUS, I'll also include B&W scanned copies of 2 early Rosanne interviews WITH this LP, (but you must request it or I'll forget to remember to forget! Ah HOOT-WAH). The article in the Village Voice (also on my Store site) says this was never released (I beg to differ as I've had 3: 2 originals & one club RE). ALSO NOTE: I'll be listing my Crowell & Carlene items over the next few days.

Other scans (NOT, I SAY NOT included with this LP but available on my Store site & I'm not gonna waste 5 scans because some punter is "confused"): #8: the other photo I got signed that same night,  +

Goldmine magazine #840 (4/14: Country issue). Interviewed are: Rosanne Cash (her new cd for 2o14), Charley Pride (race & C&W) & John McEuen (back in the Nitty Gritty) + nice article on Lefty Frizzell & review of the Complete Johnny Cash box-set. Condition: VG++ (slight cover wear, mostly along spine from opening issue to read it & my address Label is on front, see scan #1). NEW postage: add on $3.75 within USA or $10 overseas. Scans: #1: Rosanne cover, #2: contents, #3: Rosanne interviewed, #4: Charley Pride (who doesn't shy away from discussing race in C&W), #5: Lefty Frizzell. Other scans (NOT, I SAY NOT included with this issue but available on my Store site & I'm not gonna waste 7 scans because some punter is "confused"): #6: her 1st LP from Germany! (& AUTOGRAPHED!), #7: 1st USA LP (promo), #8: Oxford Southern music issue (Rosanne has nice article about growing up in Memphis),  +

Elvis' pals (the surviving members of the "Million $ Quartet": Cash, Lewis & Perkins), got together with Rick Nelson, John Fogerty & Sam Phillips in Memphis to cut a new album (including a new tribute song to Elvis) + a host of other guests & Chips Moman put it down on tape (Mercury 830-002-2 FLO3), 1986 BMG Music Club release, rock CD. Scans: #1-2: covers (this is the original USA CD release, although there WAS an LP TV offer that included a very nice photo booklet but I can't remember IF they also had CD as the TV offer on LP INCLUDED an extra LP of interviews (which won a Grammy award, by the way) & was a nice package & I of course bought one, instead of a dozen or so, & have sold them all since) & enlarge #2 for songs, #3: Mercury/BMG Label, #4: I'll include this Sun Studio flyer but you must request it (or I'll forget to remember to forget, ah HOOT-WAH!!). Other scans (NOT included with this CD, but on my Store site): #5: RE of this cd, #6-9: Orion,  +

Elvis sound-a-like Jimmy Ellis (posing as "Orion"): "Rockabilly" + "Sunrise" (SSS Sun Collectables 6440) CD (2-fer: 2 albums on one CD). See the SSS Singleton factor as described below. This is NOT a legit Sun release (as in associated with Sam Phillips), SSS Singleton just happened to buy the rights & Sun masters when Phillips retired. Scans: #1-2: covers (enlarge #2 for songs), #3: Label, #4: back of booklet & Sun logo as seen underneath the plastic in-lay CD tray & a nice touch by Collectables to do it this way), #5: I'll include this Sun  Studio flyer but you must request it, or I'll forget to remember to forget (ah HOO-HAH!). Other scans (NOT included with this cd but on my Store site):

Jerry Lee Lewis & Elvis sound-a-like Jimmy Ellis (aka: "Orion"): "Duets" (Singleton Sun 1011, as to differentiate from a legit Sun product). See explanation below about this event. Scans: #1-2: covers (enlarge #2 for songs), #3-4: small water stain on front & back, bottom right corner on front, & NOTE: I've flipped #4 for better view of back), #5: GOLD vinyl, #6: sent inside custom poly-lined musical notes inner-sleeve (unless you request a paper one), #7: I'll include a Sun Studio flyer for free (as long as you REQUEST it, or I'll forget to remember to forget, ah HOOT-WAH!!). Other scans (NOT included with this LP, but on my Store site): #8: DUETS cd,  +

Elvis Presley (related): Jimmy Ellis sings (Presley sound-a-like) on a "duet" with Jerry Lee Lewis: "Cold, Cold Heart" + "Hello Josephine"  (SUN 1141) vinyl 45 record (country rock). After Gail Brewer-Giorgio wrote the fiction book "Orion", Shelby Singleton (who had bought the Sun records catalog from Sam Phillips), got the bright idea of resurrecting Elvis by records Elvis sound-a-like Jimmy Ellis as "Orion".  the first insult was to dig through the old Sun catalog & make new electronic "duets" of Jerry Lee Lewis & release a new LP called "Jerry Lee Lewis & Friends" (the "friends" being the newly incorporated "Elvis", aka: "Orion" + he already had 2 tracks of JLL that had been released on an original Phillips' Sun of actual duets with Charlie Rich, which he brightly also put on this LP, hence you get "& Friends"). One of the tricks used in this scam was to include a snippet of Jerry Lee saying "You really tried on that one, Elvis" which he borrowed from the "Million $ Quartet" tape, which was also in his possession. An interesting piece of Presleyanna. Scan: #1: Label, #2: I'll include a Sun flyer for free (but you must request it or I'll forget).
