Very Rare 33 RPM LP "Realization" By Vernon Bishop Dower Jr., Autographed - Austin, Texas 1972

A rare album that's not in your collection, "Realization," by Vernon Bishop Dower, Jr. It was purchased directly from Vernon in Austin, Texas in 1972 or 1973. He was playing in a little smoke-filled hole-in-the-wall bar that night, and between sets he was selling copies of his album.

The cover is handmade from thin, colored cardboard and packing tape, and it's hand- decorated using felt-tip pens. Due to these unique materials, the top edge and a few other places on the cover have faded with age. There's a small liquid splash mark at the top (likely from all that really bad beer). On the front: the moon, Saturn, Earth, other as yet undiscovered planets, sparkling stuff. Vernon handwrote the song titles on the back and signed it. He put a star on the state of Texas, under which he lettered, "TEXAS LONE STAR STATE." He autographed it for me along the right-hand side.

Side I

Realization - 5:10 Mao's Masses - 2:45 My Only Blues Song - 3:50 Sweet Conni's Song - 3:50 In the Morning - 3:15 Side II
Butterfly's Chase - 5:50 Little One - 4:45 The Organ Grinder - 2:35 New Found Wisdom - 2:40 You Heard Me Singing - 2:45 I never played the record (no offense, Vernon), so I assume it plays as well as the day I got it. But please keep in mind, I no longer have a turntable and can't check it.

There are likely only a couple of these albums in existence. So, the addition of Vernon's album to your collection will make itĀ all butĀ impossible to ever duplicate.

Item will be shipped within 1 business day of cleared payment. Shipping is limited to the USA and to PayPal CONFIRMED addresses only.

Please contact me with any questions prior to purchasing/placing a bid. But keep in mind: I am not a record seller and know nothing whatsoever about grading them.

Thank you.
