New Young Glasgow band The Bar Dogs bring the sound of early Bruce Springsteen records, the energy of Dr Feelgood, the whit of Ian Dury and an attitude like The Pogues to the music scene. The new album “Friday Night The Eagles Fly” captures a year gigging these 13 wonderful original songs perfectly. Recorded at Green Door Studios Glasgow late 2016 by Samuel Joseph Smith. The first single/video “Sorry” is a great taster for the album Formed in August 2015 by ex-Blindfolds frontman John Gerrard O'Neill and ex-Velveteen Saints frontman Tino Macdonald The Bar Dogs quickly caught the attention of the Scottish Music Industry for their version of high octane Rock n' Roll. They spent 2016 recording their debut album and attaining high profile support slots with the likes of Glasvegas and The View. This resulted in several headline shows in their hometown of Glasgow. The recordings were then noticed by The Proclaimers bass player Garry John Kane. His Label Button Up Records decided to finance the record that is set for release on April 21st 2017.
