GENE VINCENT Lonely Street/I've Got My Eyes On You (DEMO) London Records (1966)
This rare yellow-labelled demo was issued by London Records (UK) in 1966.
Condition: The record is in Very Good (VG)+ condition and very close to Excellent (EX).                    It has some light surface marks but they do not interfere with the sound which is excellent throughout on both sides.                    Both labels are in excellent condition (no pen writing, no marks)                    (NOC) The record does not have its original centre.
Gene's London records are very collectable items...and this, being a demo, is especially so. 'Lonely Street' is something of a 'country' classic having been recorded, amongst others,  by Patsy Cline (with The Jordanaires), Wanda Jackson, Tammy Wynette, The Everly Brothers, Ray Price and Johnny Tillotson. Andy Williams charted in the US with song in 1959.
I have a number of other rare Gene Vincent issues (Promos, test pressings etc.) coming up on eBay over the coming weeks...so, if interested, please keep watching my 'new' listings each Thursday.                                                                                       Record Gradings: I use the standard Record Collector gradings for vinyl records M (Mint): Brand new condition - no marks - cover and inserts in perfect condition EX (Excellent): Shows some signs of the record having been played but very little lessening in sound quality                          The cover might have slight wear and/or slight creasing VG (Very Good): The record has obviously been played many times. There will be some noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.                              The sound quality may have deteriorated but the general sound is still acceptable.                              Normal wear and tear on the cover but without major defects. G (Good): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated - perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.                   The cover may suffer folding, creases, spine splits, discolouration etc. F (Fair), P (Poor), B (Bad): I do not normally put records in these grades on eBay except where the record is rare and still collectable whatever the condition.
