Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath 1st Italian Pressing Vinyl LP VG/VG Ossie Osborne

We have for sale an original Italian 1970 first pressing of the classic first self titles album Black Sabbath. Complete with original Vertigo Swirl Inner Sleeve. Ozzy Osborne is mis-spelt on the inner of the gatefold sleeve; reads Ossie instead of Ozzy.

Additional condition comments

Matt sleeve is in very good condition, storage wear to the edges spine and corners. Spine is in very good  condition with no crushing but does have a little wear. Original Vertigo inner swirl sleeve has no splits or tears. The cover image is still very clear and sharp, the text is unworn and the colours are vivid. Record has an excellent gloss and there is no whitening. Record has been played and has a number of light surface marks but no scratches. The labels are completely clean with few signs of spindle marks. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp, tiny little mark in side two label (see photos). The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and sounds rich and vibrant. There is some noise on quieter parts of the record but this should go with repeat playing. Record has been professionally cleaned and has superb clarity and separation.

Our Vinyl is visually inspected under strong light for marks and imperfections. Any found are described in the additional condition section above or as per the Rare Record Collector grading system. Every one of our records has been tested by ourselves and has been machine cleaned prior to testing. Each record comes with a free an anti static cleaning cloth that is not available in the UK.

Grading system

Mint (M): Perfect: This record looks like it has just left the manufacturer, with NO flaws what so ever. It looks as though it had never been handled. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains.

Excellent (EX): The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear to the edges of the sleeve and or creasing.

Very Good (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the sleeve and extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.

Returns Policy

Returns are not accepted for auction items unless there has been an error in the listing by us. Returns are at buyers cost unless there has been an error in the listing. Any items for return must be advised within 14 days and must be returned in exactly the same condition as they were when dispatched. If any attempt has been made to modify or repair the item without authorisation then the return will not be accepted.
