This is a superb original fist press copy of Hawkwind's Classic 1971 2nd album X IN SEARCH OF SPACE with the original GIMMIX Cover and log book.   UK 1st press A1U/B2U - RAYS etched in deadwax on side B
The cover and record is in Excellent + condition (see pics).  The log book is near perfect and in its original state.  Vinyl is clean, flat and free from any scratches.  There is some light surface noise and the odd pop and click which one would expect from a 46 tear old record, which is apparent in the quieter moments but nothing to worry about and does not effect the dynamic full sound.  This record has been loved and played but maintains its clear and full sound.
Free collection and UK delivery signed for.  Europe and Worldwide £9.50 or cost.  Price on application.
This is stoner music at its classic best, and to be listened to at 11!!!!

UK 1st press (A1U/B1U & A1U/B2U). Subsequent pressings (A1U/B4U & A2U/B4U), have a different label layout (see this -  https://www.discogs.com/Hawkwind-X-In-Search-Of-Space/release/459829 )
This release has an innovative 8-page, 3-fold die-cut heavy card sleeve. Opened out, it forms a 'T' shape. This shape is printed black & white on inside and full-color on reverse.
When the lower page is folded up (to contain the liner) the sleeve then takes the form of a 6-page triptych - with the die-cut tab & slot linking together at the center. When locked 'closed' the liner/vinyl can still be inserted via the top opening.
The back cover has a blurred shot of Stacia dancing on-stage, with text that encapsulates the essence of the work:  "Technicians of Space Ship Earth This is Your Captain Speaking Your Captain is Dead"
"Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford".
[The inside spread photos include members of The Pink Fairies].
The package also contains an A4, 24-page 'Log Book', packed with the minutiae of the band's 'flight' through space & time. This 'Log' is printed black on white 'newspaper-quality' paper.
Produced at Olympic Studios, Barnes. Track B2 first recorded at Air Studios.
