You are bidding on TWO 7” singles by Squeeze. Both single are of their classic 1979 release ‘Cool for Cats.’ This record is well known for being pressed in a light pastel/chalky pink vinyl but other, rarerer colour variations have been identified over the years.

Two of these rarer coloured pressings are up for sale as one auction here - these are the RED/ORANGE pressing and the glossy BRIGHT PINK pressing. Please note the light pastel pink pressings shown in the second photo at the top is not for sale - just used as a colour comparison.

PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE NOT THE SAME ITEMS I ADVERTISED ON EBAY TWO WEEKS AGO. THOSE SINGLES SOLD TO A SATISFIED BUYER - PLEASE CHECK MY FEEDBACK. THESE ARE A SECOND SET OF EQUAL QUALITY/CONDITION THAT I HAD IN MY COLLECTION - SO HOPEFULLY A SECOND CHANCE FOR BIDDERS WHO KINDLY BID PREVIOUSLY.

Condition -

LABELS: no writing, stickers, fingerprints, stains, spindle scratches - please see photos. Both NM

VINYL: both test played again before listing - look & play perfectly across all four sides. Visually almost perfect - no significant marks or flaws of any kind whatsoever in normal light. Some very light marks under strong spotlight, probably down to cleaning. Conservatively graded EX bordering on NM

SLEEVE: very light creasing and light edge wear with 1/2 inch seam split on one sleeve - the other sleeve is NM - no tears, creases, writing or other damage - fantastic condition! Both VG+/NM respectively.

Low starting bid of 99p - the items/lot will find its own value.

From my private collection and a smoke/pet free home. The item will be posted in a purpose made cardboard 7" mailer. Vinyl will be posted externally to the sleeve, in a protective white paper sleeve, to ensure prevention of possible seam splits/wear etc. in transit. Picture sleeves will be housed in clean protective polythene sleeves.

Postage costs at cost price within UK. I occasionally re-use/recycle 7" single cardboard mailers ONLY if fit for purpose to keep down postage cost so that savings can be passed on to the buyer. Generally I post first-class, signed for delivery within the UK. If you wish for any other specific type of postage please let me know so that costs can be obtained. International shipping costs are at eBay's own Global Shipping Programme costs and conditions and outside of my control. Proof of postage is always obtained and copies of any shipping information can be supplied upon request.

Payment to be made within 24 hours please, once the auction had ended.

Please check my feedback and bid/buy in complete confidence. As you will note I am also a buyer/collector myself and I ensure I treat buyers as I would wish to be treated myself. I promise to respond to any communications and resolve any issues quickly ensuring absolute buyer satisfaction at all times. Any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Many thanks for looking and wishing all bidders the best of luck.

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
