Description: This is the 1st STEREO press of this gem on Impulse! The cover is a laminated gatefold. The labels are the orange/black Impulse! labels with the deep grooves (DG) and "A Product Of Am-Par Record Corp." on the bottom. The run out area of the wax has the "AS-23-A-" and "AS-23-B-" etched on its respective side. The hyphens in these matrices show up on the wax as "dots". The uppercase symbol for the Greek letters Sigma and Gamma are also etched on each side, while "VAN GELDER"  and "Stereo" is stamped on both sides. There are some light marks on the vinyl, including one that can be felt with a finger nail, but the marks do not overwhelm the vinyl. The vinyl is still glossy and retains its original sheen. The vinyl would be a solid VG+ were it not for one small mark that can be felt with a fingernail.The cover is rigid and very new looking. It is not falling apart. There are some small dings and writing on the cover that do not detract from the displayability of the album. The vinyl plays through fine with some pops an ticks and some slight background noise in places. The cover displays very well despite its shortcomings!
Sorry for the distorted angles of the pics of the labels. I could not get my camera to get close to the true colors of the labels except at an angle with the flash on and the lighting turned down.
