Collection of 16 Records - Albums & 12" Singles - 1980's

I am down-sizing my library over the next few months and will be selling off close to 15,000 titles, mainly on military and aviation history. Any items purchased can be held for a week or two to combine postage, and 'buy-it-now' items in my ebay shop can also be combined wherever possible.

Collection in person from Par in sunny Cornwall is always welcome (post code PL24) - payment via Paypal or cheque is not accepted for items being collected.

Book Condition Scale I use:
Excellent - near perfect condition, possible pencilled 'price tag' on inner page/back cover.
Good - may have very minor creases, pen 'price tag' or sticker on inner/back page.
Fair - a moderate 'has been read' feel with creases, dirt, minor writing and marks, older books may have minor foxing, etc.
Poor - well used, but still readable. Pages may be loose, creased, dirty, with multiple annotations, heavy foxing, etc.

Ex-Library books will always be mentioned as such.

The age of the book is taken into consideration, so a 'good' 70 year old book will be in worse condition that a 'good' book that is 5 years old. I don't use stock photos so the image(s) are of the exact item in question, but if you're not sure of any specific description then please ask before bidding.

If you are buying more than one item, then please wait for a revised invoice. It will almost certainly save you money as I can often combine items and insurance!!!  If you don't wait, ebay will estimate postage and will likely overcharge you and ebay do not allow me to re-invoice items that have already been paid.

Excellent Combined Shipping Rates:
UK deliveries using various couriers are roughly 2-5kg = £7.00, 5-10kg = £9.00, 10-20kg = £11.00.
For larger items, island and remote destinations in any country may incur further costs. This includes Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands/Islands, Malta, Cyprus, the Balearic and Canary Islands - please request a quote before bidding if you're not sure.

FAQ's

These should answer most common questions, but please get in touch if you have any enquiries. Sorry to be so thorough, but almost 2 decades of selling on Ebay has taught me the need to clarify things before hand.

Payment Options:
Cheques: Cheques in British Pounds only. Absolutely no cheques in any other currency as I cannot bank them!
Money Orders & Postal Orders: are accepted with no charge. I can also accept Money Orders & Postal Orders in US Dollars and Euros but there is an extra £10.00 for Bank Charges.
Online Payments: I accept online payments through Paypal
Credit Cards / Debit Cards: Unfortunately I do not accept direct card payments.
Bank Transfers / Wire Transfers are accepted in British Pounds - my details will be supplied upon request after the end of auction. Fees on international transfers must be paid by the buyer.

Insurance, Damage & Postage Costs:
I believe in using strong, quality packaging - it does add a little to the cost of postage but you have peace of mind that you will receive your goods. All items are insured and those over a certain value will require a signature upon delivery. Items too large to fit through a standard letter box also include tracking.
On larger items, or those valued over £20.00, a signature may be required, please ensure that the delivery address you specify is occupied during normal delivery hours. If nobody is at home during the day then I recommend using an alternative address (such as a work address, or that of a friend, family or neighbour). Many couriers only make 1-2 attempts at delivery and items returned from an unoccupied address WILL incur further costs to re-deliver, and your items held until these costs are covered. Ebay require me to use a tracked/signed service on higher valued items so I will not send out items via an untracked/unsigned service, just to save a few pennies on postage - please do not ask me to do so.

Please note that insurance is against loss and significant damage/breakages, but does not cover slight damage or creases, to either the box or to easily repaired ‘shock damage’ to the item - if it is a small part falling off which is easy to reattach, then claims will not be considered. To alleviate this, I always use strong packaging so less than 0.5% of my items even receive this light damage, however claims for this minor damage will not be considered - if you feel the quality of the box/book cover is paramount, please request extra packaging (there may be a small increase in postage as a result).

Postage costs include not only the price of stamps (or courier costs), but also the cost of packaging materials - cardboard boxes, polystyrene chips, etc. AND the extra cost that ebay/paypal add - they charge their fees (of about 15%!!!) on top of the real costs of P&P, ie. if I charge you £5.00 postage, I will only receive £4.25!

Dispatch Times :
Most items are packaged and ready to go within 24 hours of receiving payment, but during busy periods it may take 2-3 working days. I am not in front of my computer 24/7 and do have other commitments (kids, wife, ironing, etc.), but if you would like your items by a specific date, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.

Returns on most 'used' and auction style items are generally not accepted. However, if I have made a mistake and sent you the wrong item, or have missed a serious issue with my description, then let me know ASAP as I will rectify my mistakes. My descriptions (and images) are quite comprehensive, but please ask first if there are any uncertainties, etc. BEFORE purchasing.
