Label:   A&M.  Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl.  Label is silver with black text.  Catalog number is SP-6703.

NOTE:  This pristine promotional-issue album came from the extensive personal collection of the former owner of a chain of retail music stores who retired from the business in the early 80’s.  The albums were stored virtually untouched and unplayed since that time in a climate controlled, non-smoking environment.  We are in the process of selling many investment grade coloured vinyl LPs, promos, sealed LPs, and other rare collector items from the collection.  If you insist on MINT, archival quality albums, you will not be disappointed.

Condition:

DISC:  Vinyl is NEAR MINT with 100% of original gloss, as clean as can be found.  Looks and sounds unplayed - no sign of ever having been on a turntable.  Labels are pristine.  Fidelity is superb.  A gorgeous album you will never need to upgrade.

JACKET:  Jacket is NEAR MINT.   Front has round hype sticker.  Reverse has “demonstration” gold embossing at upper right corner.  Panels are flawless.  Light wear on seams and corner tips.  Overall a gorgeous jacket to accompany the beautiful discs.

Glossy printed inner sleeves and folded poster are all included in gorgeous NEAR MINT condition!

Review:

“Originally released on A&M records in 1981, Snaz is one of the better, and least recognized, live '70s (as a style, not necessarily a period in time) hard rock recordings.  Unlike more recognized '70s metal artists like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, and others, Nazareth -- even in their Hair of the Dog heyday -- never were able to put much "heavy" into their heavy metal guitar attack when they recorded in the studio.  There wasn't much of a thump coming from the drums and bass either, and the overall affect was a wimpy sound that didn't nearly serve the band's fine material as well as it should have.  All of this left Nazareth's otherwise respectable '70s studio recordings with much to be desired sonically.  Recorded live in Vancouver, Snaz is a production and engineering highlight in the band's career.  The energy and recklessness of Nazareth's material is much more palpable on these live versions, and while things get a little sloppy at times, it's never distracting.  Fans of Nazareth simply must add this record to their collection of essential band releases.”
