New Still-Sealed 12" Vinyl LP Record Artist: Th' Cigaretz
Title: Crawl Rite Outta My Skin Recorded Live at various locations in 1977, 1978 and 1979 1979 Cancer Records, Raleigh, NC USA Condition: Still-sealed, original. Flat as a pancake! The only defect is some light browning from age on along the sleeve edges (see pictures). These albums were hand silk-screened, no two alike. Every album had a unique color pattern. This is the second pressing. There is lyric sheet inside. Album will be shipped in a sturdy cardboard LP mailer for protection. Th' Cigaretz are: Throb (Scott Jarvis) - drums, voc Bindee (William Bindeman) - bass, voc, keys Johnny Guitar (Jerry Williams) - gtr, voc, bass Jimmy Jones (Byron McCay) - gtr, voc This is the first punk rock LP released by a North Carolina band -- Oct. 1, 1979. Th' Cigaretz hailed from Raleigh, N.C. and were one of North Carolina's first punk bands, forming in 1977. They released only this one album in their short career.
Guitarist and vocalist Jerry Williams went on to produce the Bad Brains' first release on the ROIR label at his 171-A Recording studio in NYC. Jerry recorded many other NYC bands and was instrumental in getting the NYC hardcore punk scene off the ground.
Drummer Scott Jarvis played in The Workdogs and recorded many releases with that band as well as many others. He continues to record and perform in New York City.
Guitarist and vocalist Byron McCay ran Jag Studios in Raleigh, NC for many years and is currently playing in Raleigh group Subliminal Surge.
