Original 1969 Led Zeppelin II, SD 8236, Presswell press, RL SS. As you see....it’s in Near Mint Minus condition, one of best copy I’ve ever had and under another account I’ve sold more RL ss LZII’s then anyone on EBay. This is a great sounding RL. I’ve had upwards of 60. Graded visually per strict Goldmine Standards at Near Mint Minus, and audio graded at Excellent. Top Copy. No warp. Labels are perfect. No spindle marks! Goes on spindle very hard. Professional clean. Professional pack. Record will ship outside of the sleeve but will not be able to shift. No reserve, No international sales, sorry but this will stay in the United States.
(Deadwax matrix etching) STA-691671-C (side one) STA-691672-A (side two) Presswell Press!
This is a Top Copy. First generation RL SS mastered and cut by Robert Ludwig at Sterling Sound and pressed at Presswell. It has the smaller side two deadwax. Thick late 60’s vinyl, about 170 grams. Broadway address.Original inner sleeve still nice and white. Cover is in excellent shape. Record may have to be insured and signature required. What a great addition to someone’s prized collection.
Here is a little insight. Presswell made the LZII SD 8236 RL ss with 3 different side one stampers. But only one side two stamper. The side one C and side two A were the ones that made the white label promo and are the ones Presswell thought were the best audio for radio play. That is the matrix on this record. Presswell also made a B-A that was very limited and an A-A that was widely used. What this means is the further you get away from the C-A the more likely the audio quality has been compromised and the fact that side two went through three side one stampers. I had a customer state that a Near Mint A-A stamper had surface noise. This is believable because by then side two had been through three side one stampers. I’m betting that Presswell only had one side two stamper from Sterling Sound. Once I learned the matrixes for the white label promos, those were the records I actively searched for, this goes for all of my favorite bands not just Led Zeppelin.
This one is play tested, their is five to six clicks 30 seconds into “the Lemmon song” and then it goes away. All of the quite spots are just that....quite for a record. Lead in and lead outs, between songs, the false ending on “thank you” is quite, symbles on “whole lotta love” are quite, start of “bring it in home” are quite. These are the suspect spots on an RL.
I’m starting the bids at $100.00 because I’ve made a best offer action.
